If you have reached these lines, I think you might be interested to learn the following thing. Six months after I returned home, a miracle happened, and I managed to get in touch with the community of Sao Raymundo who saved my life on the 63rd day of my journey. They sent me several photographs.

This is a photo of the local residents making my favourite farinha.

Here is the photo of the headman of the community, Ebakurau, with two children and my canoe which was redesigned into a motorboat for the needs of the community.

I am glad that my ‘Libertad’ is in good hands.
